ICQ2Go! is a quick and easy way to communicate with your friends. Send and receive instant message with this simple, multi-platform tool. All you need is your ICQ# and password, and you can connect to it straight from your browser. It is a Java-applet and is invoked from within a web browser. You can use the application immediately, without taking up drive space by downloading and installing client software.
In order to run it, you will need a Java-compliant Web browser and the Java Support option must be turned on.
After you build your Contact List, it is saved on the ICQ network servers and is able to be accessed from anywhere that you use the application.

I found that icq lite supports only 99 users in the contact list. My user list has more than 100 users.. I really hat e to use it.

great program. don't have to deal with contact lists anymore. be careful though, if you get disconnected, you might loose incomming messages when reconnecting.

I am very impressed with ICQ Lite. It's a great client to use when on the run, but it does use a fair amount of memory. It's funny how people complain when the Windows ICQ client takes up 10 MB of RAM, but when a Java-based version takes up 20 MB, it's not as bloated. I agree interface wise it's very simple, but you can make the Windows client essentially the same -- just turn off Advanced features. Everything is perception these days, facts aren't as important I guess. Nonetheles, I would highly recommend using this client when you need something quick and easy and don't want to install software (at work or at a Net cafe, etc.). Besides, these days an extra 10 MB isn't that much anyways :) Keep up the good work ICQ team, you're on the right path.

I like it allot. I can see a two or so features I would like have. Custom fonts, custom settings for contact list members, and changing sounds would be nice, but I can live with this. I really enjoy have an ICQ like the old days, with none of that extra stuff I haven't used since a few weeks after they were introduced.
