I usually install it then run it then DELETE IT due to its bloated and want to instal other software

Tools like this always imprint themselves wherever they pass. To say that it's the best driver updater is a bit exaggerated but still, it's highly recommended to use it and also to test other tools. As far as I'm concerned, I've used other ones and my drivers have all been updated after a simple scan on my Windows pc.

Does what it says updates drivers.
If you have a Motherboard (M/B) that is in warranty then go to the manufactures site and update everything from there.
Use this program when out of warranty only. The Pro version actually has the needed drivers that you possibly want.
Slimdrivers is found as a PUP/Spyware by Malwarebytes Pro.
If running Windows 10 then Microsoft will have stuffed you with drivers that work. You would need to turn updating drivers off in Win10 if are a gamer or a high end system and know what your want/do.

All in all program is comparable to DriverMax.
Also yes do untick everything as it is bloatware if install the rest of the Iobit family of programs or do not uncheck free stuff.
Use with cation.

Looks great and retrieves driver info quickly and then.....nothing! you can wait a month for it to update drivers (4 in my case) and this is true of pro version 2 which i bought. I could never recommend til they fix the update proceedure.PS i have a 150up/down conection.

Good program if you ensure it doesn't install any 'extras'.
Using the Fileforum download link provides 2.1.2.0 btw (older in fact than what I already had), not the version listed.

IObit Driver Booster 2.1.2.0 version now has a capp on the download rate unless you buy the pro version, basically the free ware version now sucks !
Slimdrivers is free and works well

No problems with the program - Though IMO if your recent PC is running well updating drivers unless you are a gamer can cause more problems than it solves, if in doubt leave well alone as most updates come along with a share of new bugs. Updating drivers is an overrated pastime :-)

Installed it and it found various updates, run them rebooted and system would not start (test rig) so had to do system restore. This is not ready for prime time be careful with it
KNRover reviewed v1.2.0 on Mar 3, 2014
I installed Driver Booster (DB) on my two (relatively new Win 7) computers about 2 weeks ago, and have done 2 scans on each computer that resulted in a total of about 30 (!) updates. The updates did not cause any system problems.
However, 2 days ago, I installed it on my wife's VERY OLD Compaq R3275 laptop running Xp-SP3 and ran a scan. It updated 3 drivers. After rebooting, it seemed to be running fine, but today my wife tried to open a link in an e-mail, and it caused Windows to freeze (absolutely nothing worked except Task Manager, which I used to restart). Tried opening Outlook Express and again tried the link. Froze the system again. After restarting, ran a system restore using the restore point created by Driver Booster. Computer now works, no freezes on that or any other links.
The problem appears to have been an ATI driver, because when the system would boot, it would automatically open an Explorer window with a "CIM" folder in it containing files for the ATI graphics card. It no longer does that. The point here is that like most generic driver updaters, this one can cause system problems by updating drivers that are not compatible with your computer. In recognition of that fact, DB ALWAYS creates a restore point, which allows you to undo it's mistake. But you have to hope that the errant driver(s) do not render the system unbootable, making it difficult to access system restore.
Despite this glitch, the program is extremely efficient and from my experience, probably accurate with CONTEMPORARY machines. If you have a really old XP machine, be careful.

Out of Beta, So had to Test it against the Beta version I Reviewed Before.
Which found & Fixed 2 Drivers.
-Took a SnapShot .. RollBack Rx
-Downloaded>>Made Portable>>Config'ed>>Ran .. 24 Drivers Req'd Attention.!!
(The beta version didn't find any) Today..!!
-
Selected to Download with Silent Install. Absolutely no Problem.
After Install: Re-Booted to Desktop & was greeted with "I have 3 days to Register Windows due to Hardware changes. Only took a Minute "No Probs".
Then ran Chkdsk via Re-Boot (Not CMD:) To make sure all was in order.
Minor Inconsistencies & 15 Index entries etc etc.
Dunno why..?? Probably Habit lol. I ran MRT.exe & got a flag seconds into the scan. Stopped MRT (short), & ran TDSSKiller. Here's the Results.......
-nuidfltr.sys (ForgedFile.Multi.Generic)
-Rtenicxp.sys (ForgedFile.Multi.Generic)
-Wdf01000.sys (ForgedFile.Multi.Generic)
-launched TaskMgr to see if they were running = No
-Looked in the "RUN" section of the Registry = No Additions
-See if any new Services had been added = No
-Ran msconfig = All OK
-Scanned Reg for Related keys = Nothing to sweat about
-REMOVED the "Driver Booster Update" shortcut from (Sheduled Tasks) Folder.
-Checked the 3 files @http://www.file.net/process/
It appears because they are a (((compressed))) "MS signed" file They are sensitive to some of the M/ware scanners......... "They are quite safe".
They Didn't trigger Nod32 during download, OR even a scan of the drivers folder tho..... Proving that sometimes a second Opinion can be Useful.
This app could cause a few probs for New Users, But "All in All" I reckon this App is one of the Best from IOBIT. Smart UI (not that that matters, coz it does the Job). lol. Easy to make portable, & a doddle to use, With Great Results.
Thanx & a Superb 5* ... ^_^

Uses beta 1 -4 and each iteration is getting better.. Have had no misfires or bad dl's. found a external network wireless driver for an abandon hardware unit, fixed 4 major problems with it and its now the best on my home network for speed and it the farthest from the AP. so I am happy with this and having tested numerous driver updaters over the years. I have fount this to be the one i turn to on a regular bases. I don't however leave it in always run mode. I set it up so i run it once a month and have not been happier on the results.

I have to say this version has big changes. One of my driver that failed to updated on Beta 2.0, and now it's fixed. I expect more device will be supported, because it's now only on beta section.

Ran this App. 2 Drivers oudated. Went into Device Manager to Update them.
Said no Updates were Available..?? So, That says this App works..!!
Scenario......
I made this App Portable (For "MY" System) via [Regedit>>HKLM] & At
C:\Documents and Settings\User\Application Data\IObit\Driver Booster\-files.
>>> Look out for 3 Shortcuts added to "Task Manager". I deleted 'em.
- Launched DBooster>>Settings & Unchecked all options.
- Ran the App which again found the 2 outdated drivers, Downloaded & Installed
them flawlessly.
- Re-Booted & went back into Device Manager & checked the Date/Versions.
Yep..!! Updated & the latest Drivers, which Windows Driver Update missed.
[YUK]
I've tried several Driver Update App's over the years, & they all sucked.
Fannying about with endless options & only 2 drivers at a time etc.
[YUK]
[GOOD] This App gets on with the job & gets 5* from me. [GOOD]
