Often when we try to delete a file or folder in Windows, we see annoying messages like "Cannot delete file: Access is denied;" or "Cannot delete folder: It is being used by another person or program" or "There has been a sharing violation;" or "The source or destination file may be in use;" or "The file is in use by another program or user;" or "Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use;" or "Cannot read from the source file or disk." This is majorly because the file or folder is being used by another program or user. IObit Unlocker is an ideal tool for such conditions. It releases the file or folder from being occupied by programs and allows you to quickly remove or modify the file or folder.

I love this tool and am using it now for this type or errors. I have tried a number of ways for it, and also I have used “Long Path” Tool in this situation and it helped me easily and quickly.

This application is very easy to use. Protected Folder works like a safe. I can just drag and drop to put files or folders you want to keep it in the safe.

This program will easily release the file or folder from being occupied by programs so that you can remove or modify them. The key features supporting this program are: easy interface, quick after-unlock operations, options to unlock multiple files or folders, terminate all related processes, and much more.
I tried to unlock a folder and my computer suddenly crashed. As soon as I get done rebooting and doing a chkdsk, I'm uninstalling this. I hope I didn't lose anything. This was on WIndows 7, Ultimate, SP1.
