If developers (unintentionally, of course) use third party tools to achieve their compression results, it is shows that they have no trust in their own potential, so it would be a waste of time to expect improvements.

That post was made relating to an earlier version. According to the news section for it on its homepage, all 3rd party softwares have been removed from it. I suggest that you try looking for them in it.

I think that this program shows promise. I agree with people stating that it has a bad UI and hope that it'll be improved in a later version. It has problems (since its a beta) that should be fixed soon (along with any licensing issues).
