Interbase Permission Configurator is a database administration tool that creates a hierarchical system of security groups that simplifies the management of security settings. This software can help you grant database users rights for access to database objects and customize the users' database client applications depending on the tasks the users are working with. Initially Interbase Permission Configurator grants rights not to a user directly, but to the tasks which the user's database client application performs. Later, when you assign some tasks of the client application to the user with Interbase Permission Configurator, it grants to the user all the rights these tasks have. Interbase Permision Configurator performs this by generating and executing a script containing SQL "GRANT" statements.
