IpfilterX blocks Anti-P2P companies and the organizations that support them, Corporations, Military Ranges, Government Agencies, Law Firms, P2P spammers and many more. There's no need to block more than 1 billion of IPs to be protected, overloading further to a certain value will result in banning innocent IP ranges which means legitimate P2P sources, this paranoid setting will hog your machine. You won't run into risks using IpfilterX and won't run into more risks than using an overbloated ipfilter.

To keep it updated and work on ranges and IPs analysis any day it requires time, energy and professional people , it's a ridiculous sum compared to unworthy VPN services , Now I would understand why users like you Recon give 1 Star only because they think that being an "ipfilter" it isn't worth of something and it should be free... Why you don't go to ask to VPN services to be free too ?
Safety and Privacy have a cost and our one is really the cheapest one of the whole Net . Thanks .

There is no download. A payed subscription is needed to download.
It should protect from 'bad' IPs such as Lawyer firms and co. And exactly those can easy buy a subscription. A Fileshare shares for free, he won't pay and possible can't pay the required price to download and use it.
A long time ago it was free.

Dumb@ss, IpfilterX is a .dat file which contains (pre-defined) IP Ranges which can be used in Peer-to-Peer or Torrent applications for the purpose of Blocking IP addresses called IPFiltering.. That picture is a version of eMule which is a popular peer-to-peer sharing application.

Just stop talking before you embarrass yourself even more.

It does really well but I can't seem to get it to update automatically in my Peerblock list. I suppose this is due to the fact that I have to log on to the ipfilterx website to download the update. Otherwise it does seem to work well .

[KarlX] I’ve been motivated because I think that writers like Huxley and Orwell told the truth about our present and future, and of course R.A.Wilson books. I didn’t think it was right, how others coded the ipfilter, they added ranges like Yahoo and Google, etc. They shot in the bunch with no exact target. That’s why I can proudly say that our ipfilter is more accurate than others.

KarlX make it out so Google and Yahoo amongst others are the good guys when it come to anti-piracy. He figures that their IP ranges are false positive in the I-BlockList lists.

Excuse me not reviewing a software, which promises something it only can fulfill in a very limited way.

I often read about 'secure' file sharing because of the use of e.g. IP-Filters. This is a PURE NONSENSE!!!

Every sharer sends the individual IP around the world with light speed. Do you seriously want to tell me, only companies log a sharer's IP? Every 'freelancer' (money greedy people) can offer their 'support' to such companies... and their IP's hardly will ever be blocked (because they are simply as temporal as the file sharer's IP. And in fact only an IP, the exact time stamp, a 'protected' file is necessary... and every IP filter is a nice TOY, but for sure nothing better.

For the software itself I assume one can give 4 to 5 *, but for the f.a.l.s.e and m.i.s.l.e.a.d.i.n.g promises made I give 1*!

The users believe these fairy tales and are shocked, when they are sued. And, of course, in such a case you as the developer are n.e.v.e.r responsible - BLAMEFUL!

What I find interesting is that in deluge with it's own huge filter it works fine with a particular torrent. If I use the same filter in tixati on the same torrent it does not work. If I use this filter it does. Very strange. If I happen to need a beancounter I'll be sure to ask you.
    IP Range Total: 6882
IP's total: 586,336,548 That's over five hundred million different single ip addresses that are possible and every single one is in this list. Are we counting actual ip's in use ?? In regards to torrents that would be near impossible.

    Reviewing Beta 14 (Nov 14, 2009)

In these days of file sharing, having an up-to-date IPFilter list is a must. IPFilterX blocks a wide range of possibly spying IPs without blocking too many innocent clients. For people without paranoia. Highly recommended!

You more stupid than others thinking that people should be spied for what they do , P2P came with Internet and will die with Internet , but you are right ,
also trolls came revealed with Internet and you are into this category.
For the fact that you are unfair like Majors , for the fact that is illegal to track down people activities on Internet , it's named privacy , get information about.
You are a liar and this is the fact . You work for the agencies that are so scared of ipfilterX that talk sh*T as you do ...multiple times per day .
    Do it... supergenious... do it...

Anyone stupid enough to pay $13 for a filter file is, well... stupid.

I am NOT paying for a filter file. The fact is, all the people who would download this and use it are going to use it for bittorrent and emule, etc. etc. Thus, they are already downloading illegally. Why would they pay money for this but not pay a few dollars for an app or video, etc.?

Besides, there are more than just a few lists available online for free. I've downloaded an IP Filter file for utorrent for years and it's updates multiple times per day.

It's hilarious that anyone would be moronic enough to pay for this. Maybe I should make a few lists and sell them too and make a few bucks from idiots.

And folks, go to the http://sourceforge.net/projects/ed2k-ipfilterx/ webpage for this program. Look at the screenshots they posted!! They actually show UTORRENT and it's clear from the two torrents the program is downloading that they are also pirating videos. Downloading a DVD VIDEO_TS folder - thus a pirated DVD and eMule screenshots ...

WHY PAY FOR THIS? The makers themselves are also downloading illegally and know it. This "app" filter list doesn't deserve to be paid for. I can't believe it ... I am stunned with laughter at the moment that they have the nerve to show they are downloading illegal files from utorrent and expect people to pay for their little work.

They need to be smarted about posting utorrent screenshots of their illegal activity.

Does the 'optimized for uTorrent' version (uIpfilterX) also have a beta version?
