JaBack is backup software with advanced automation features. The backup file is in standard zip format which allows you to restore data using any zip utility. After backup, You can ftp or email the backup file. Synchronize, copy, and zip tasks are also included to satisfy all your backup and archiving needs. Schedule tasks by the second or minute, or on a hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly basis. In addition, the chaining feature can run tasks in sequence or conditionally depending on exit codes. It supports dynamic variables to achieve advanced automated tasks. Schedules can be synchronized to allow or prevent overlapping schedules.

Nice backup program with very good potential. It just isn't there yet. I wish JaBackup would use Second Copy as a benchmark, it's almost perfect.

    1. Unresolved issues donmor46 mentioned.

    2. Install routine needs to be coded w/ admin privileges(install continually loops w/o unable to write to Downloaded Installations folder / while prompting for an alternate folder).

    3. Install routine should be able to uninstall previous version, rather than quitting & directing user to manually uninstall older one first from control panel.

    4. Uninstall routine takes way too long to run.

Very nice program. Will not get to some of the files I would like to sync such as my email at \doc&set\user\application data\thunderbird etc. Will still use SyncBack until this is addressed.

This is more than what I could've asked for from a free software. Very nice.
