KCleaner is designed to be the most efficient Hard Disk cleaner, tracking every useless byte in order to give you all the ressources you may need for your documents, music, pictures, movies, etc. It is the first product of this kind featuring a full automatic mode, which works in background so that you don't have to care about when to launch it. As a proof of its efficiency, it often finds up to many Gb not even seen by its competitors so. If data security is something you are interested in, you'll love the secured file deletion methods proposed by KCleaner, making deleted files unrecoverable by any known mean.

It does look like you can download a none spyware portable version here: http://www.kcsoftwares.com/?download (zip file) Although I can't think of a single reason you would want to use this when there are the likes of CCleaner & Xleaner both free & good.

I would avoid this software either use CCleaner or BleachBit. BTW although Bleach is excellent use with caution.

it has to be said, why would one want to use a substandard tool,
there are so many applications that are available that do what this program does, and far more advance,
the number one program has to be,
http://www.ccleaner.com/
with ccleaner around, there is just no room for any new software to really be any kind of competition,
perhaps in time, this KCleaner will develop, but the name says it all in my opinion,
CCleaner
KCleaner
come on, who is the developer trying to kid, personally i feel this is some kind of attack against CCleaner, or maybe trying to steel some credit by playing with the name, either way, it shows dishonor, and a clear case of bad ethics.
as for the software in question, well given the nature of it's early development, what can be said, it's another cleaner, that does a terrible and unreiliable job at present because of it's early state of development,
perhaps in time it will become another good cleaner, but there are so many cleaner's at the moment, the question is, is there room for another one,
a bit like applications like "Tuneup Utilities", there are so many of these types of program's now, one doesn't no where to begin, although this is off topic......
Reviewing 0.15.0.24 (Jan 10, 2009)
The idea of being able to keep your drive clean automatically in the background sounds great, but the concept is flawed. Every file on your drive has been placed there for a purpose. In many instances when that purpose has been served the file may be deleted. The problem is that a program operating automatically at intervals does not know when that purpose has been served and can, at times, remove still important files.
In manual mode, however, KCleaner is quite usable. In expert mode a nicely formatted list of files to be removed is displayed with the option to uncheck any file. Although the "file type" list is limited compared to other cleaners, it does include several legitimate "file types" I have not seen in other cleaners.
CAUTION: Do not allow KCleaner to clean the "Adobe Reader Installer Cache". This will cause the uninstaller to crash.
If the automatic mode and the "RK" software were removed, this program would get a higher rating. And yes, I do know that a lite version is available.
Reviewing 0.14.0.23 (Dec 22, 2008)
Absolute great & top (does what it says) !!!
Download the "Lite version" (without RK) on the KC Software-Site and don't tell such "nonsense"
like Louis Serveaux, CyberDoc999, lastone & other fools (first read the developer instructions) !!!
Reviewing 0.13.0.21 (Nov 25, 2008)
Umbelino: You, as well as I, did not read the disclaimer at the beginning of the install. It said it was installing "RK" software. You could have opted-out or removed it later with the add/remove software. I guess sometimes it pays to READ THE INSTRUCTIONS.

I won't advise this tool, it wipes vital files of your system and replaces them with spyware, all without your knowledge.

I love how the author whined to have all the previous negative reviews removed. Too bad they'll keep coming regardless.
My problem with this utility is that it's overzealous. The danger of deleting important files, even with the default configuration, is significant.
And it still doesn't work properly at 120 DPI.
Reviewing 0.11.0.19 (Oct 15, 2008)
Let's see, so this program automatically deletes files it thinks are useless in the background and makes them unrecoverable? This program may be very useful in manual mode, but the possibility in automatic mode of accidentally deleting something that's NOT junk sounds kind of scary to me.

This contains the Win32:Adware-gen rkinstal.exe file
It loads in User/name/appdata/temp/ in vista.
Be careful.

Buckw1 -- I'm not even allowed to get that far for the program to ask me anything about malware.
Scanners go off and isolate the file rkinstal.exe
If its not supposed to be there, then why has the author put it there?

Not too shabby at all. KCleaner seems to do a more aggressive cleaning than the old stand by CCleaner. I deleted a bunch of ATI installation files and everything seems to work after a reboot. The first few runs I would recommend doing a manual scan under expert settings and take a careful look at what it wants to delete. I'm keeping this along with CCleaner.
updated*
I had no problem updating to the latest ATI driver despite wiping out the ATI cache using Kcleaner. Perhaps there could have been a problem if I wanted to repair an older version but I have those archived. Look, this utility seems to do a more thorough cleaning than ccleaner but you just need to be careful on what it wants to delete.
Such a wonderful topic for me.I read this article and agree with this article. Thanks to talking us about this article.
