Very solid organizer that's starting to show its age. It appears to maintain most of its functionality in Vista. For a nice alternative, try TreeDBnotes.

It's a shame this program is languishing at SourceForge - it offers so much functionality for such a small and resource friendly program. Plus it's secure! It encrypts the entire file and can be configured to save the contents of your notes whenever you switch to another application or every _ minutes or both.

The list of features go on and on but are all focused on the task of writing and keeping notes on disparate topics and then finding and retrieving the information easily. You can search accross all tabs and "nodes" within the entire tree structure quickly. For people who like to work from outlines this app is ideal.

I urge people to give this one a try.

Nice for notes. KeyNote alone will not make you rich or make your life work or grow back your hair, but it does pretty good on notes. The other stuff is up to you.

This superb program not only provides a user-definable tree-form database, but it can further segment each database by one of more tabs.

It is relatively easy to master the intuitive GUI, especially considering the great power in this application. It's a great application for students, small businesses, writers, and researchers.

    Highly recommended!

I'm reviewing it again so soon because this version fixes the one bug that bothered me: links to local files now work in WinXP SP1. It's also a few Kb smaller than the previous version. The best just got a little better!
