   It's looks like great. But it miss a channel monitor, and I love too much HydraIRC one's to switch to Klient, despite Hydra IRC beta state and lack of udpate. If you want to see me signing on, that's the next feature you could implement :D

   Klient has really impressed me. It may cost to use, but it is also the best IRC client out there that I have seen. It can accomplish many tasks; more than mIRC, and the creator of Klient is able to be spoken to directly if there is a problem. The Forums are also always responded to and inquiries answered promptly. Klient has many program options and I will gladly pay a fee for quality where not only is the program worth it, but the people who work on designing it actually get back to you.

   Yay, Public Schools.
   Appearantly, randal2k does not know the meaning of the word "innovation." Allow me:

   1. The act of introducing something new.
   2. Something newly introduced.
   
   Incorporating over half a dozen standard scripting languages, clean and attractive user interface, stable execution, and all of the major features of all the great IRC clients such as multiple server support in a single package? That's innovation (spelled with two Ns, fyi).
   
   Considering how versatile this program is, I'm surprised it isn't more expensive than it is.
   
   It's sad when people are so cheap they immediately discount something based purely on if it is free or not. You get what you pay for.

   One of the nicest interfaces for IRC, but shouldn't cost $25 to TRY. Try HydraIRC for free.
   
   This download isn't a shareware/trial... it won't work until you pay $25. You can test the earlier non-beta versions, but then they arent nearly as nice. Try HydraIRC instead.

   No real innovation? The ability to script in six different STANDARD languages is not innovation? Integrated userlist, real time display adjustments (more on this below), graphical popup editor, ability to use line-by-line debugging for scripts, integrated FServ client (looks like Windows Explorer). Non of that is innovative?
   
   Now for the real time display adjustnments, go to a busy channel, then change your display settings. You will see every peice of text in your windows get your new text style. Every other IRC client does it "going forward".

   it does irc chat. it does it well. Miranda IM and GAIM can do IRC chat. they are free.... so 25$? i give this software a 1 for no real inovation.

   What's your scripting language? Klient gets a 5 from me. Why? Because I am able to use languages out there that are REAL and USEFULL and UNDERSTANDABLE... Even beginers with no scripting background can find enough tutorials on any scripting language to learn enough about scripting to write scripts - popups to plugins - in just a short ammount of time. So I ask you again: What's your scripting language? Start scripting today!

   Great program and even greater release. Highly recommended, and well worth the extra $5 over mIRC. I'm glad programs like this one exist!

    I recently got my hands on Klient 2.1 Beta 2 (non-public version). There are many bug fixes, but more important is the new interface. The new Klient Control Center is a centralized location to manage things such as your scripts, user lists, and file transfers. The overall interface has been even more refined to fit with Windows XP.
    
    Klient’s scripting engine has been extended to support Python and RubyScript as well. The object explorer has been removed in lieu of an expended scripting reference in the help file. The help file has been extensively updated and also includes detailed examples.

    I've been using this one for about a year, and it has been very stable for me so far. Very feature rich and user-friendly. No complaints from me. Highly recommended!

    Great IRC client, one of the very few viable mIRC alternatives out there. The only thing missing is the gigantic addon/script/theme support that mIRC currently has.

    I used to be a mIRC fan, years now. After using most Windows IRC clients i was pretty sure that mIRC has to fear nothing from others.
    And guess what... I discovered Klient.
    Hmm,, i really looks very cool, nice modern gui, excellent scripting through WSH, multiple servers, advanced customization, excellent notify list management, favorites and hundrent other features, mIRC or others never had before.
    I remember last year, when i first try Klient it has some rough ends, small bugs and other issues.
    Forget'em all...
    Latest (beta) release is stable as rock, fast and has small memory-resources footprint.
    Klient's builtin script editor is a full blown windows scripting host IDE and supports VBA, JScript, Perl and others. It has syntax highlighting, visual design tools, syntax checker, object - classes browser (!), variable watch manager and other features an irc client never had before.
    What other can i say ? Ahh with $25 is also very affordable for most users.
    
    Give it a try, you'll love it

    I use it since some time. It's pretty good. And talking about rip-off... I never heard that a rip-off has more features. BersIRC blows compared to Klient.

    It connects only to a few servers,cannot resolve others.how can we use other ports than 6667.
    Klient will become one of the best irc clients on the net .it has features not other clients have and is very flexible .look forward to the next version .

    welp
    this client sucks now
    shareware was a bad idea. We had NO updates for many many months and several users simply gave up on klient.
    that was supposed to be a nice irc client but still many bugs and mirc is still the best

    Good program, but it is no longer freeware. It has a 30 day trial period and the registration price is 24.95
