This is a very nice program. It fits my expectations pretty well because I have used Better File Rename and Photo Renamer together for quite some time and they are similar. I had never heard of Rename Master 'til tonight and I tried it too -- it's nice as well but has a different approach. I think I like Metamorphose better and can see it replacing the two proggies I've used previously quite handily. It does have a learning curve however.

It may well be more powerful than renamemaster but renamemaster is much easier to use and has practicaly no learning curve as does this. As well, renamemaster is but a 1.2MB portable folder (on my pc). If I need to rename 5gigs of mp3's I certainly would not use this (assinine). Mp3Tag as well as Tagscanner will name them for you via freedb.

The program do not start if you don't have MSVCP71.DLL on your system. MSVCR71.DLL is provided inside the Metamorphose zip file but MSVCP71.DLL is missing. This program is nice but... I don't like thoses Runtime'd applications that need external DLL's increase size of application and slow it down. On other part, using scripted Python's runtime make Metamorphose Windows/Linux compatible. Other free tools like Renamer 5.0 that is only 2.2MB single EXE (Windows only) do more things.
