Nice software. Does just what you need it to do. Nice intuitive GUI, easy to set up. 1 point off because it's Java based. Probably 1/2 of all PC's don't have Java properly installed, so there goes half the possible user base. I recommend Ares, or any non-Java based client over MP3 Rocket. Too bad, because it really is a nice client.

I look at it differently. LimeWire is open source, so the fact that they took their code and are redistributing it under a different name does not make it illegal or unethical. I've worked on a few open-source projects in the past, and understand that others will (actually I encourage it) take the code and add their own features to it. With the current legal battle LimeWire is facing, I actually commend MP3 Rocket for taking continued risks to offer alternatives to the public, all the while supporting the open-source community. MP3 Rocket may not be a completely innovative product, but it works well (spyware- and adware-free, I might add) and is free - not sure how this would warrant any complaints?
