    The worst instant messenger ever.

I can't understand why people use a messenger with this much problems.

The protocol is problemmatic for ages. It even crashes for days long.

The interface is not anything special.

But people keep using it probably on the fact that it is annoyingly installed on every Windows machine.

If Microsoft should be sued on any basis, it should be because of MSN messenger.

Btw I use the protocol via Miranda.

I've used Msn for awhile now after my disappointment in Trillian but this recent build corrupted my install shield(gave me some 1609 error) and I got it from MSN's site. I've seen that some people have had the same problem whith the lastest Defender release too. Reinstalling Install shield didn't work so I had to reinstall my OS with an image I saved(which is not pirated a copy). Needless to say I'm not happy with this piece of sh8. ICQ used to be my favorite but not enough people use it. The features offered for FREE by most other IM are worth trying them instead. Maybe MS is just going to buy one that gets really popular like all the sh8 companies do that can't make good in house products.(Symantec,EA etc..)

Trillion of flies eat s***! if they like it, you 2!
MSN Messenger is the worst IM in the world (only comparable with Jabber but no M$).
Don't have offline messages (ICQ have it for years)
Don't have answering machine (Yahoo have it!)
Dynamic Avatars (Meegos) are not free (Yahoo have free animated avatar!)
Don't have message encritpion (ICQ yes!)

BUT it's M$ almost bundled with every windows version (a trimmed version that push to you to upgrade)

Switch to Y! Msgr more better 1Gb WebMail, Free Blog (Y! 360), Unlimited Photo site, Free Briefcase, Free customized Radio. You need more reasons!?!? ask me!

best IM system with most of my friends on it. that's what counts, not if it can connect to weird ones like jabber.

Strange i tried to update via the normal MSN Messenger page and that is still 7.5.0322 Anyway i personally feel this is the best IM client going, you could use trillian et al but people i know who are using thoose are always getting it crash out. This just works and thats all that matters.
