Using dual boot, is looks to be similar to precedent versions, but doesn't load on Windows 98 SE option any more, so I keep using my old Maxthon 2.1 which runs perfect on both of them.

My system: HP Pavilion (a810n), 512 MB PC-3200 DDR ram, AMD 3300+ Athlon 64 Processor. Windows XP SP-3 with all the updates except for the windows search. That means I have Microsoft silverlight, MSXML 4.0 SP-2, Microsoft .net framework 1.1 with the hotfix and Microsoft .net framework 2.0, Windows Media player 11, Microsoft Office 2000. This version of Maxthon works with Internet Explorer 8 beta-2. I didn't open IE-8 after the install of the beta-2, I just went to one of my Favorites & Maxthon popped right up and loaded the pages & did it very well. I haven't tried opening more than one tab yet, The problem with the IE-8 beta-2 that I had was it froze up trying to close a second tab, and that was a constant event. This build of Maxthon seems to be doing all that it should be doing for me. I'm a big fan of Maxthon, the only beef I have is that they took away most of the skins for Maxthon 2. Please bring back all the compatible skins for Maxthon 2. It's just not the same when the look of the browser isn't the way you like it to be. I haven't found any skin that comes close to the look of a couple of the old ones that aren't available anymore.

While I have recently switched to Firefox 3 for my daily browsing needs, I do love Maxthon and think it's an exceptional piece of software. The IE8 beta compatibility is welcome.

I must say I have a love-hate relationship with Maxthon. But this is only because I always take it for granted that it's best browser so it must deliver! And it does, better than FF or Opera, even though there's always something to gripe about. Today I'm in love! Tommorrow? You never know!

Not bad, a little slow starting up. Lots of toolbar icons I don't use or need, I'm a minimalist. It takes a while to customize them. Speaking of customizing, They have taken away a lot of the maxthon 2 skins. The skins that are available are not the best that they have had, Come to think of it, they are some of the worst skins I've ever tried. Please bring back all of the skins that work with Maxthon 2 and I'll be very happy.
