Media Player Classic is an extremely light-weight media player for Windows. It looks just like Windows Media Player v6.4, but has many additional features. It has a built in DVD player with real-time zoom, support for AVI subtitles, QuickTime and RealVideo support (requires QuickTime and/or Real Player), and lots more.

The only thing I wish I could see this player contain would be a nice library interface like what MediaMonkey or WinAmp has. Otherwise, this player is excellent. Plays everything I throw at it, minimal memory footprint, and solid. Its not pretty, but works perfect.

    SCoooBY,

The ilnk works perfect for me, and better quality than WMP.

This app is a perfect host of all codecs, with only a rare playback that doesn't work properly but does play on WMP. I think that by version 7 it'll be the best video player around.

    WoooooHooooooo...!

I can't seem to get this version to play my MMS favorites though :(.

    Anyone else?

Here's a link to an MMS stream that plays in WMP but not MPC:
