Well, so far, it appears that the overall speed of this browser (opening and rendering) seems to be a bit faster. Off the bat, my Ghostery plugin was rendered useless. It comes with the ability to block tracking of websites as well. Having some compatibility problems with rendering on a few sites. It has some gleetches here and there, hopefully they will be fixed with updates. Spell check is something that should have been added long ago to this browser. Again, it needs work, but may catch up to Firefox someday.

Page rendering is appreciably faster. Finding add-ons, such as Adblock is a pain. No Gmail. Not sure concerning translation. Better than previous version. However, for ease of use and relativity, it can't hold a candle to Chrome, FF, Opera and others.

In my opinion, too little and way too late. A few years back it might have made headlines.

I echo fat, what is the difference in this and the previous version? When I downloaded the thing it said the file was already in my download folder.

There's no difference between this version and the previous version so what's the point?

Failed to install properly on a bootcamped Mac and a desktop HP using an installer. Both machines were completely up-to-date. IE10 would not run. Uninstalled the update and then later tried to install via microsoft update. Same thing on both machines. Uninstalled the update back to IE9. I use other browsers anyway.

I've never been much of a fan of IE in any version & this update has done nothing to change that opinion. If anything it's slower than IE9 & has no visible worthwhile improvements, it continues to display the ridiculous 'suggested sites' despite being told explicitly several times not to in advanced options.

If or when I'm forced to use it I will until then I've imaged back as that's the only way you will be totally rid if it if you choose to try it out.

Avoid.
