This update improves security. It includes fixes for vulnerabilities that an attacker can use to overwrite the contents of your computer's memory with malicious code. In addition, this update readies Office 2008 for Mac for the installation of Microsoft Entourage 2008 for Mac, Web Services Edition, and must be installed before Entourage 2008, Web Services Edition is installed.

    This includes the failed MS-OOXML converter which took two years to create, just in time for Microsoft to abandon it in favor of ODF in SP2 coming later this year. Ouch.

    Not sure why this is just showing up now, I received this update about 3 weeks ago... anyway, great update, haven't ran into a single issue.

    On MacPro Dual Quad 2.8 running 10.5.3.

    Gotta love how M$ writes their flagship application suite better on a Mac then on their own Windows Platform.
