Way too many bugs..... totally messed up outlook.... this should be alpha

Nice improvements all around. new ribbon is an upgrade, especially for Outlook. Outlook has some issues with existing/imported pop3 accounts. it enables SPA and fails to connect. disabling it fixed my issues. also, my work PC's outlook doesnt show new mail envelope icons in taskbar even though the setting is enabled. tried toggling and no change.
so, not bug-free but nothing game-breaking. worth the DL and install. would be a 5 without bugs.

Looks nice with the ribbon in Outlook. Word has a few new tricks.
However, Outlook will not work with my POP accounts.
It gets one round of messages, stalls on the final message. A reboot or kill Outlook via Task Manager is required to send or receive.
Deal breaker until Beta 2.

That's nice to know that you won't waste a year, any year. Microsoft doesn't want folks testing their products who simply b**** and moan about them. They do look for constructive and insightful feedback though. It would appear you don't have any of that. So, move on.

Have been using it for 2 days now, and it is a great improvement over Office 2007.
There are some issues MS need to address with the *64 version regarding add ins, as they tend not to work, however they are working ok in the *32 version.
Nice to see IMAP email accounts created retain their expanded tree view once the Outlook is closed and reopened, something that has not occurred in previous versions - and was why I moved to Thunderbird/Shredder for me email client - I may change back nearer final release if *64 version gets add ins working.
Overall worth the download and usage. A step in the right direction.

Whatever people keep saying that any other free or not-so-free suite is just as good seems a tad silly to me. There is NOTHING that comes even close to the quality level that MS Office offers. There is no tool that can make presentations as good, or allows one to write and handle documents as good.
Windows sucks? Might be. But in my opinion they got it right with the office, it was good before 2007, it was amazing with 2007 release and 2010 just continues the awesomeness.
