First of, yokozuna, I would like to say thank you VERY much for referring FastStone Image Viewer. I've tried Microsoft RAW Image Viewer but it doesn't seem to work without the .NET Framework. I'm giving it quite a low rating due to the large dependencies, but overall, it's a great picture viewer.

can someone tell me (who give this app 5 points):
Why 48MB?
Why only WinXP?

About time MS came out with this. I have a Nikon D70 and a Canon Rebel which I take RAW images with. I admit that I use Picasa for most of my photo organization and such, I often use the MS Picture and Fax viewer to quickly view JPGs, BMPs, etc. since Picasa takes so long to open due to the large amount of pictures I have in the database. Now that MS has released this, I can do the same for my RAW images, which has already come in quite handy since I installed it yesterday morning.
As for the reviewer below who thinks it's bloated, considering how much it integrates into Windows, I don't think the size is unreasonable. Additionally, I'm not sure how many other cameras (besides Canon and Nikon) take RAW images, but I was under the impression that few cameras support the RAW image format, which is why I believe MS stuck to just those camera makes.
EDIT: Zee7, in response to the sizes, from the download site:
Additional Information
The RAW Image Thumbnailer and Viewer consists of two components: a lightweight "shell extension" for Windows XP that provides high quality thumbnails in Windows Explorer, and a RAW Image Viewer application with an interface similar to the Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. (Please see the readme file or the companion whitepaper for complete details.)
The RAW Image Viewer application requires version 1.1 of the Microsoft .NET Framework for operation. For this reason, there are two versions of the software download:
Full version: A complete download package containing the PowerToy software along with version 1.1 of the Microsoft .NET redistributable software. This is approximately 47Mb in size.
Lite version: A "lite" download package containing the PowerToy software only. This package is approximately 6Mb in size.
If you already have version 1.1 of the Microsoft .NET Framework installed on your system, you do not need to download the full version. If you download the lite version and you still need the .NET Framework, you will be prompted to download and install this software. If you choose to install it separately, please see the link in Related Resources, at right.

Yeah, I was hoping this was just a simple applet that allowed Windows internal thumbnail system to display RAWs. And for Windows basic picture importer/viewer to see them.
It really just needs to be a "system wide aware" type of applet. I like Windows thumbnail view mode, wish it supported RAWS and PSDs.
