Windows XP Wi-Fi Protected Access 2 Update provides support for Wi-Fi Protected Access 2 (WPA2), which is the latest standards-based wireless security solution derived from the IEEE 802.11i standard. It also contains Wireless Provisioning Services (WPS) Information Element support, which enables improvements in wireless network discoverability.
Reviewing (May 13, 2005)
Without trying to spam my website, I have instructions up on how to use this Update and implement WPA2 on the front page of www.linksysinfo.org
I am able to use WPA2-AES between a WRT54GC, and a XPSP2 WPA2-updated laptop with WPA2 supported drivers for my Broadcom miniPCI card.
Enjoy! Now if the other hardware manufacturers would get on to supporting this standard, out since June 04
