Miraplacid Text Driver 2007 extracts text from any printable documents. After installation, it appears as a new printer in your system. All the documents you print to this "printer" will be processed by this program. All the text from the documents will be saved to files on your hard drive. When a document is printed, it opens the "Save As" dialog and prompts you to specify the locaion for the text file to be saved. In this dialog you can specify code page and turn line breaks on or off.

    The publisher's blurb represents a perfect example of sellers confusing features with benefits. Even after reading thru the publisher's website, I had not a clue as to what benefit this application provides. What does it do? Why would I want it? I know something of the features, but the "So what?" question nags to be answered. How does this program proport to improve my life?
