Mozilla Thunderbird is a redesign of the Mozilla mail component. The goal is to produce a cross platform stand alone mail application using the XUL user interface language. The intended customer is someone who uses Mozilla Firefox (or another stand alone browser) as their primary browser and wants a mail client based on mozilla that "plays nice" with the browser.

Reviewing 6.0 Beta 1 (Jul 21, 2011)
Very good email client. Not sure where the 3 rating is coming from. I dont use it mainly because I use the email client with Seamonkey. I'm sure most users use the webmail version of its isp's email. But if you can still use an email client software, this is the best. Allot better than the windows live software I tried a month ago. Man, what happen to old Outlook express..
