Nero DriveSpeed is a utility to set the reading speed of a CD-ROM drive. The ability for limiting the reading speed of a CD-ROM drive is a must have feature for high speed drives. lthough a high speed drive allows you to transfer data in less time, there are some disadvantages of using such a drive: Noise, Spin-up/down times, and reading damaged disks.

    I hear no difference what so ever when i change the speeds using this program, and have never done on any of my computers through the years. When my DVD-burner in my laptop really do go maximum speed (24x) it sounds like an MC, and it doesn't make any sound change using Nero DriveSpeed. So to be honest, i don't even know if this program works AT ALL. Seems to me like it doesn't.
