Nero Lite is an custom created installer for the main Nero Burning Rom applications. It also comes with unattended switches to make it install silently. By default, Nero installs a lot of DirectShow filters which may interfere with my video recording software.

Just get the freeware, which is 10.000 times better than this bloat.

Agree with Cionno.
I was using Nero Light before I found ImgBurn. Nero offers NOTHING over it and costs money. Why would anyone use it?

I don't know what's with all the low ratings, but I like it. Still the best burning software in my opinion, and this lite package overcomes the only complaint I have with Nero. So a 5 from me, and keep them coming!

I find this to be very useful, most features included with the bloaded edition of Nero are not necessary!

Nero, I had it and I removed it. Bloatware and is not the best. I now use Ashampoo burning studio which I like a whole lot better than I did Nero. No more Nero junk for me!

How much I like people willing to protect us from bloat, the money is floating in the same old direction as before --> Nero.
NO, thank you, nothing more from Nero for me !

Reviewing 8.3.13.0 Build 1.18.0.1 (Dec 23, 2008)
This is great because if you do already use Nero, you can do an install without all the bloat. This should be done by Nero themselves though! Pretty sad that someone else has to release it instead...if this was how Nero was officially released, it wouldn't have lost nearly as much of its popularity.
Reviewing 8.3.13.0 Build 1.18.0.1 (Dec 23, 2008)
I've tried this in the past and it works ok up to a point. There have been small bugs in most versions and you also need a valid Nero CD key to use it.
At the moment I feel that Ashampoo Burning Studio is the best all round solution.
