Netcraft toolbar effectively forms a giant neighborhood watch scheme, empowering the most alert and most expert members to defend everyone within the community against phishing frauds. Once the first recipients of a phishing attack have reported the target URL, it is blocked for community members as they subsequently access the URL. Widely disseminated attacks simply mean that the phishing attack will be reported and blocked sooner.
The toolbar also traps suspicious URLs containing characters which have no common purpose other than to deceive. It enforces display of browser navigational controls (toolbar & address bar) in all windows, to defend against pop up windows which attempt to hide the navigational controls. It also clearly displays sites' hosting location, including country, helping you to evaluate fraudulent URLs.

A great and very valuable extension for Firefox. I very highly recommend it to everyone, and I really do mean EVERYONE. No matter how knowledgeable you think you are, there are phishing scams and security vulnerabilities that can catch you off guard. Period.

A great tool that everyone should have. It has saved my bacon by letting me know that I'm somewhere I shouldn't be. It does Sometimes slow down page download, but the inconvenience it worth the occasional hassle. It takes a while to learn everything about it, but it is worth the time. If you don't have it - Get It. The great thing about this tool is the more people that use it the more efficient it is.

sounds like a good idea but it locked my firefox up, had to uninstall it
