NewsPiper allows you to be always informed about the latest news. This program combines RSS reader, news aggregator and news ticker in one environment. It scans your favorites news sites (like cnn.com, foxnews.com, etc.), retrieve news headlines and shows them in a special always-on-top bar placed at the top of your desktop. For each shown headline you can open "full story" page in your default web browser simply by clicking on the headline. You can add new site for scanning (channel) just by indicating the URL, regualar expression for headlines recognition and the code page of the site (for non-English news sites).

    DetroitBaseball it only sucks what you tell it to.
    This is a very good app.
    If you want just a ticker there is some overhead with the full reader sitting in the systray.
    It would be superb with skin/color mods on the ticker frame.

    I do not recommend NewsPiper, it is a nice program but it eats too much bandwith.

    Simple,Desktop integrated,panels are very customizable

    This THE rss reader for those who do many things at once,no need to open extra windows,all the news,right above your head

    Highly recommended
