I have had this software for over one year and it has developed a problem where the auto-protect turns off by itself, leaving me open to viruses. Symantec apparently knows about the problem because they metion it in their trouble-shooting festures. But, after repeatedly following their solution meticulously, the problem recurs. When I try to contact them, they have not provided anyway to get further help that works. I am buying McAfee. This software sucks.

Mr. Eko says try it before bashing it. I've been a beta tester and been pleasantly surprised with it. It's easy to use and has been light on system resources - only 2 processes in Task Manager on Vista. I like the included backup and tuneup functionality, especially the reg cleaner, the diagnostic report, and the online backup piece. The navigation is easier than v1 and there's an option for backup icon overlays so you can see what's backed up. The password manager is also pretty cool. Like I said earlier, try it and see for yourself.

Norton 360 heh? Norton 2004 already had my head spinning. Maybe when 8 core processing hits the streets and 8 gigs of RAM becomes standard. NOT! I'll just play graphic intensive video games and surf with common sense.
