Online Armor Personal Firewall uses powerful new technology to actively detect threats to your PC. Rather than merely comparing the signature of an intruder to known threats in a database, and missing new and unknown threats, it intelligently recognizes and identifies malicious behavior and immediately targets the malicious program or intrusion attempt for exclusion from your PC before it ever has an opportunity to become a threat.

Online Armor provides you with real protection in real time by immediately recognizing and stopping attempted, unwanted or malicious behavior by other programs, known or unknown, whether through email, surfing the Internet, or other online activities. Because it protects by analyzing any program's behavior, rather than merely searching for a specific known threat from a limited database, it identifies and removes malicious programs missed by other products and protects against new threats as they are created.

The Free Edition does not contain all of the Online Armor features.

I had it for over 3 months and it was all buggy. It was time to get rid of it and I have to wait for avast! 5 to come out which supposed to have a very good firewall bundled with the antivirus and I hope avast! 5's firewall is better than this junk.

It blocked some of the windows drivers, the Registry Console, and the some of the components for Internet Explorer.

This is not a recommended firewall to try out people.

    > Utter rubbish. Slow, painful, cripples network. free< good firewall so choose from but there is a choice. On the other hand, if you are bored, and have noting better to do install OA and have a go... I did, would I repeat the experience ? No. Would I recommend it to anyone after using it?, NO.

WHAT A P.O.S.! For gods sake, don't get 3.0.0.190! It crashes and causes endless misery! Stay with an earlier version until this poor thing is fixed.

I use the combination of a hardware firewall with NOD32. Nothing is impregnable, but this combo comes close.

I don't have much faith in personal firewalls.
