Open Sitemap Generator is a simple and fast opensource sitemaps generator written in C#. It is able to crawl a local copy of your site using an URL substitution to write the actual sitemap.

Latest Changes:

• The Mapper Core is now using db4o to store all the URLs retrieved from the site. No more (awful) in-memory lists!
• Added links to the official support forum and to the donation page, in the application menu
• Added a donation link in the about window. (Yes, this software is free and opensource and you can help us with a little donation!)
• A new "Sitemap Index" tab added
• Added more default extensions to be ignored
• Added the NSIS script to make an installer version. (This software is still fully portable in his zipped version.)
• Added the sitemap files' list, to check which files had been generated after the crawling
• Added an option to ignore the URLs found in html comments
• Added an option to specify if the starting URL is a directory or a file

@kbsoftware: The behaviour you reported it's strange. I usually use OSG on a site with thousand of urls without any problem. Which kind of errors did it give to you? Thanks. @guti: I'm not a professional developer, the software is opensource, so if you want to rewrite the engine in C, I'll add it to the source. Mike

Guti did you just rate a program because of the programming language the author used. BetaNews needs user ratings or a moron button. I gave this program a test run and wasn't too impressed, I ran it on a small local copy only 7 pages, 15 jpg images and 2 php files yet it found 12 errors and took almost 2 minutes to map. I would hate to run this program on a very large website.

Fast in C#? Sorry, but no way. Real fast coders write in C.
