10.0 Build 1219 Christmas Edition Alpha (Dec 23, 2008)
AutoLogin is good...HOWEVER-- not being able to view stored pw's anymore is terrible... Don't force security options on me that i don't want or need....or at least allow Roboform to interface with Opera then!!!!
One good new feature: view pdf in browser utilizing FOXIT.
Allowing Opera to share AND realtime update / sync bookmarks, history, etc. with other browsers would garner a much wider usage base....

New features work well, although the spell check could use a bit of help - such as understanding contractions.
Speed is good, always has been.
I wish the team would fix the problem that has been with Opera since I started using it (8.53) - when Opera is not in memory clicking on a URL will result in a Windows error message stating that the web address cannot be found, and did the user spell it correctly. With Opera in memory, the problem disappears. This occurs on systems of every speed, from old single CPUs to quad core machines. I have been able to reproduce this problem on over 200 machines. The only thing in common is Windows XP and a version of Opera. IE, Firefox, and Chrome all do not exhibit this behavior.
10.0 Build 1219 Christmas Edition Alpha (Dec 23, 2008)
I must say I am pretty impressed with this Alpha version. It is rock solid, renders pages superfast (especially Facebook) and scores 100% on Acid3, along with much lower RAM useage (at least on my two computers, One Vista SP1 and one XP SP3). I am eagerly awaiting the first beta.
10.0 Build 1219 Christmas Edition Alpha (Dec 23, 2008)
I love the spellcheck, although the implementation could do with a little refinement.
To get Yahoo mail to work, without having to revert to the classic look, I had to mask the browser as IE.
Unfortunately I can't get the browser to display certain pages correctly within eBay's "My eBay". It will often return blank or not formatted correctly webpages. I have reported the issue.
Small formatting errors persist in many other sites that I visit. My home banking site for example displays its columns and boxes misaligned. Gooogle maps just refused, but not all the time (!!) to work stating that my browser does not meet the required specifications needed.
I imagine that a lot of the above will be worked on in time, this is only an Alpha release after all.
However all of the above issues are simply not there with IE or FF. Regardless of the reasons as to why that happens as an end user I have felt compelled to switch back to FF.
For me formatting issues have plagued Opera for a long time and along with the superb set of plugins / addons available for FF I often find myself leaving that browser even though I do like it a lot.
