This type of program MAY have been desirable 12 years ago but now you don't need it in your life ~ A simple & effective way to infest your PC with ad-ware & associated garbage.

Contains 'Open Candy' Ad-Ware & will attempt to hijack your homepage, why 'BetaNews' even offers this junk eludes me. ~ All user recommendations on the home page are from 2007 ~

I have been a fan of orbit but suddenly they put many uselesss add-ons
orbit has became so stupid,it even chose to download .htm file of the .zip i wanted to download, hell, can't it read that the address bar itself states "http://blahblahblah/ZIP"???
and the uninstallation process is also a retarded.
you have to go to a app data folder then delete than fcking folder even you have ran the uninstallation through the "unins000.exe"

you know? I EVEN WENT TO THE FKING ORBIT WEBPAGE JUST TO KNOW HOW TO STOP ORBIT FROM BUGGING ME(later is that app data folder which is bugging)

i read the uninstallation guide and YOU KNOW WHAT???
THE GUIDE ONLY SEEMS APPLIES TO WINDOWS XP AND IT DOESN'T EVEN STATE THAT IT'S FOR XP,THE GUIDE CALLS ITSELF A "GUIDE".NOTHING ELSE.IM USING 7 AND I CAN'T GET RID OF ORBIT UNTIL I FOUND THE ****ING FOLDER BY CHECKING EACH OF EVERY FOLDER.

ORBIT IS TOO PRIMITIVE,ORBIT HAS TO KNOW THAT 7 AND VISTA HAS BEEN RELEASED...YEARS AGO(everyone knows it,damn orbit)AND FILE DIRECTORIES FOR XP,VISTA,7 ARE ALL DIFFERENT

I WAS GONNA CHOOSE -1000 RATING BUT TOO BAD I COULD'NT

After version 3.0.0.5, this program is terrible. It crashes constantly in Windows 7, during downloading files. I walk away from the PC, and come back to find out the files never downloaded because the program had crashed! I have tried this an a few Win 7 & Vista machines, and the problem happens on each one. Every time they come out with a new version, I get excited that they finally fixed the crashing, but it's the same. This used to be one of the best, but I'm still using v3.0.0.5 for now. You can still get the older v3.0.0.5, at: http://www.oldapps.com/o...old_orbit_downloader=41

Orbit Downloader died after version 3.0.0.5 and has become complete Ad-ware. Use Free Download Manager instead.

This used to be one of the best download managers there was, until version 4 when they secretly started adding unrelated annoying ad-ware programs and the author totally lost his soul. GrabIt, GetIt Recorder, Bing Toolbar and the Webpage Redirector I can deal with, but the "Software Updater" is ad-ware of the worst kind. It pops up messages up to every hour on the hour telling you that "Updates for software you have installed are available" even when it's Turned Off. The worst part is that the updates they're referring to are for "Paid Versions" and "Beta Versions" of Free Products.

The author probably made a lot of money adding that crap, but he destroyed the program in the process. Complete Sell Out.
