In spite of all the glowing crap and reviews you CANNOT edit text with this. Delete whole pages etc - yes. Edit text - NO!!!

Cons: tries to install Avast and some other crap during installation
Bottom Line: good tool worth the download just make sure you do uncheck what is not needed during the installation I also uncheck check for updates during start up and blocked it with my firewall

Pros: Works the way it's intended. Much more intuitive than similar softwares
Cons: Missing compatibility with a few popular filetypes
Bottom Line: This program was a lifesaver. I don't know why it's so difficult to find a PDF program that actually works the way it claims, but that's the way things are. Luckily, PDF Shaper makes up for it. Devs could really beef this up by accepting a few more file formats, but for the most part this fits my needs perfectly.

Pros: It has more options than most free PDF manipulators.
Cons: - The program cannot deal with the standard formats for office documents (ODT, ODS, ODP, and so on);
- When rotating and then paginating a pdf, the page numbers are placed in the position that would have been correct before the rotation. Since a 360 (or 0) rotation is impossible, that means the page numbers can be placed in any orientation except the correct one.
Bottom Line: Great program, but with a small yet annoying bug.

ok so they removed the AVG toolbar that they were previously attempting to slide past you, but this time they've embedded the OpenCandy network and included it into the license agreement. Basically, if you want to use PDF shaper, then you HAVE to agree to the open candy network. Since most people don't read the EULA, what this means is that they embed a file that phones home supposedly anonymously with computer information, which in turn generates ads and offers for you. So yes, they've kept up with the crapware.
On the positive side, the program does work the way it's supposed to.
I can't go any better than a 3. The program does work, but since they insist of forcing garbage through, they don't deserve higher marks. The option to send information, anonymous or not should be at MY discretion, not a condition of the program's use.

be careful with this. first, upon installation it tries to slide in the AVG toolbar. You can turn it off, but if you're not paying attention and don't remove the checkmark (it's in an unusual place) then the AVG ragware crap will get installed.
Aside from that, this program seems to work fairly decent. It converts, though the layouts may need tweaking, but it does a pretty fair job of it.
Remove that garbage-ware that AVG is and you may be on to a pretty serious tool here.
