PTFB (Push the Freakin' Button) Pro is a button pressing utility for Windows. It runs in the background - usually its only on-screen presence is a mouse-shaped task bar icon. When a dialog causes irritation, you simply tell it which button should be pressed, and it will handle the dialog in future.

    You're either an idiot (for not knowing the difference) or a genius (for being able to find it) if you think that there is freeware that offers all the features and configurability of PTFB Pro. I'm sick of these people who find the basic features of some software duplicated in freeware, and automatically scream how the author is greedy. And yes, I've tried "ClickOff".

    But that doesn't mean PTFB Pro is good. I installed it, tried using the "one click" function, and it didn't work. No rule was added, no dialog popped up. Nothing happened, and my cursor was dead. I killed PTFB Pro, then relaunched it. My CPU usage was pegged at 100% due to PTFB Pro. I killed it again and removed the piece of crap.

    I could write a really long review on why *not* to use this program, but to sum it up:

    - Too less features for its price
    - There are other free, open programs out there that have/are 1) Better support 2) All the features that you'd expect and ever want 3) Better stability and compatibility 4) Frequently updated 5) Low memory/cpu footprint.

    I don't see *any* reason as to why someone should purchase this software when anyone with a bit of commonsense (or Google) would use something else.

    The author of this little app has gotten a tad greedy. I do not bemoan someone making a profit, but the price for this--given what it does--is ridiculous. Find a copy of the old free version (1.0.6). It works perfectly--and truly for free.

    What kind of "review" is that? So what if this is the Pro version? PTFB Pro is still the best of its kind. There is no reason to rate it poorly just because you have empty pockets.

    PTFB (Push the Freakin' Button) 2.0.0.2 is NOT FREEWARE. It is the trial version of PTFB Pro ($29.99 USD). If you need the most recent version, download it.

    PCWorld.com lists the FINAL FREE version of PTFB at . It is identified as version 1.06.3, however the PCWorld download is PTFB1064.zip (version 1.0.6.4).
