Reviewing 8.0.5.304 Beta (Nov 12, 2007)
I agree with previous reviewers... although common sense dictates there is no such thing as free Level 1(or even slightly-delayed) quotes.
Reviewing 8.0.4.303 Beta (Jul 26, 2007)
Where do we draw the line between Freeware and Shareware? Sure you can download this for "free", but must subscribe to some other service for it to work!
"The Personal Stock Streamer software is currently available to you at no charge. Many of the features can be used without a data service subscription, but you will need a subscription in order to receive streaming quotes and charts. Subscription prices depend on the particular data service and package you select, starting as low as US$14.95/month for Prophet.net delayed streaming."
Reviewing 6.0.3 (Mar 4, 2005)
A $14.95 (or) $24.95 monthly subscription service is required after a 7-day trial period.
This is "freeware" kind of like the way A.O.L. is freeware.
I deduct a couple points for not presenting that up front.
