- Two new toolboxes
Reviewing 2.0.9 Beta (Jan 4, 2004)
I have used this since early beta and this is very useful because: it is fexable (you can customize fileds), fairly fast and easy to figure out, and BEST of all when you catalog offline images (on CD for example) you have a JPEG available in the database if you need a quick copy and don't want to hunt for the cd. dotNET is the future of ms progs and you can get tools to learn it if interested.

Seemed a bit complex for my needs at first but then realised I could turn a lot of the features off. Suits me quite well now. I can see the extra optional features would be beneficial for photographers who want to analyse their work, learn and get the best from their shots.
Reviewing 2.0.9 Beta (Jan 1, 2004)
Have had a look at both 2.0.8 and 2.0.9 and found the cataloguing functions to be excellent. The new depth of field calculations and sun/moon plots are very useful for what I need to do. At last I can get a tool that brings everything I need together. I am disappointed to see reviews like the last one for any program. They offer no constructive comments and reflect only on the review author - not the application. BetaNews needs to take responsibility to ensure that all reviews, regardless of their positivity are constructive.

Fantastic utility program! We have been using the 2.0.8 version for a short while now and find it extremely useful for keeping track of our images. Both new toolboxes in 2.0.9 - especially the depth of field calculations - expand its use to before shooting as well as after shooting cataloguing and analysis.

Aaarrgh...Another program that needs .NET! I don't want it. .NET launches tree additional processes and takes nearly 20mb of memory, even if i don't have any .NET applications.
More bloat from M$, great.
