PinNotes is a simple, but effective sticky note program. Allowing full control and rich text support, each sticky note that is generated can be saved, customised (including transparency, window position, etc) and re-opened when the program is opened again. Color schemes are available, along with extra options, such as Always on Top (for each individual note window), an Editing Panel, Position locking, Flashing support, show notes at certain times and WinShade mode (available for both the note and control windows). Extensive options are also available for the entire program via the Options window.

    - Fixed a massive fault that caused the remembered list not to open

    - The remembered list has been renamed and now uses true XML (will require all previous lists to be re-created)

    - Added 'Window' to the main window (which now contains 'Always On Top')

    - Added 'New Instance' support to the new 'Window' menu (will spawn another instance of PinNotes)

    - Added support to show an alert when PinNotes is minimized to the system tray (optional)

    - Fixed a small fault that caused the resized section of the main window to show when status messages are shown

    I agree with Bellgamin. Dotnet is crap, and frankly so is this program. Get ZHorn Software's Stickies instead. Free, no dotnet reliance and lots of very useful features including working checkboxes that you can put in each sticky note to make them into mini "to-do" lists.

    Each note seemed to create a tab on the task bar. Using 'Stickies' which doesn't.

    When you review a program can you please stick to the point.
    Like how good is the program. Does it function well. Does it have bugs. How well is it supported.

    This program uses .NET as do many, many other programs.

    Frankly if you have a gripe about .NET find the section on that and post you comments there.

    As for this program ...
    It functions well. Looks good. Five stars.

    Dot NET is a bloated monstrosity designed for 2 main purposes: (1) To further add to Microsoft's monopolies, & (2) as a crutch for use by programmers who lack advanced programming skills.

    Dot NET is required by this program. Therefore, I will not use this program. Dot NET is optional with WinXP but is built into Vista. Therefore I will not use Vista.
