Process Lasso improves system responsiveness during periods of high CPU loads. It does this through dynamic adjustments to process priorities. This feature is called ProBalance, dynamic priority optimization. Instead of boosting foreground priorities, which is ineffective and potentially detrimental, Process Lasso temporary lowers the priorities of select background processes when they may be interfering with system responsiveness. A graphical demo is available on our site that demonstrates how this feature can save you from a total PC stall in a worst case scenario.
Process Lasso also has a host of other features. It can automatically terminate undesired processes, apply default priorities and CPU affinities to processes, limit the number of instances a process can have, prevent PC sleep while specified processes are running, enter High Performance power scheme for specified processes, log all processes, and much more. It is not at all a task manager replacement, but does have task manager like capabilities to compliment its primary functions.
This branch is Semi-Free because it never expires, but some advanced features may be disabled over time and some nags shown. Critical features such as ProBalance, default priorities, and default affinities will not be disabled. Only the more advanced features are disabled and part of Process Lasso PRO.

Reviewing 5.0.0.45 (Sep 2, 2011)
Now I have been using this program for a couple of days, and must say, it really seems to work.
I have a few programs that think they have to occupy all resources on my computer, running them together was a pain in the but, with Process Lasso, I can actually have them working at the same time, and even use my computer for other things, that's great.
So far I'm satisfied with my purchase.
JC. keep up the good work.

I'm not still convinced that it works, but the idea behind is good.
I have a fairly good system I7-2600K and 16GB of memory, is there any evidence that I could get something from using this program?
I have been an *** to this developer, I did give him an apology back then "I'm sure he remembers, Hi JC.", now I sucked it up and bought a pro license just to support him, so I really hope I can make any use of this program :-)

This is to compensate for the author and pathetic sycophants falsely boosting the ratings for this POS.
Reviewing 4.09.25 Beta (Feb 16, 2011)
Good program. Have been using it for a long time now without any problems worthy of mentioning. I'm running WinVista SP 2 & Process Lasso does exactly what it was designed to do for me. I highly recommend Process Lasso & think it's a great program. Please keep up the good work & thanks for a great free program. Cheers!!
p.s. I load & use the latest beta versions of Process Lasso on an ongoing basis without any issues worthy of mention which speaks loudly & highly for the developer(s) in my opinion...

Snake oil, it's just a GUI around OS integrated and regulated functions.
Hey dear friend i know this things only that Process Lasso improves system performance, responsiveness, and stability in high load situations. It watches for processes consuming too much of the CPU, so can you provide me more details
