Yes

"where your level of comminication is"
First you'll need to stick your fingers out of your own. And update your thesaurus while you're at it. Then maybe, just maybe I'll let you talk to my donkey.
Until then, stop insulting the devs and get your facts straight by giving some constructive criticism, or just stop using QT Lite and commenting on it if you really think it's so full of s***e.

@BIg_DD: Probably the "extra 7MB" is "Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable" that is now included with QT Lite.

@ Ryusennin, I would only use my arse to speak with you as that is where your level of comminication is at. Glad to see the directshow framework working once again. Hopefully the makers can work on removing that extra 7MB of included files that were added over previous releases before they call this final.

@ Big_DD
Maybe you should just stop talking out of your arse? Hint: yes you should.

@tomkaten
You seem to fail to understand that QT Lite is not the same as QT. The reason why QT Lite exists is because of the annoyances you mention. QT Lite does not update itself. It has no background processes. It does not phone home. It does not install unnecessary crap. It is less than half the size of QT.
@BIg_DD
QT Lite contains a little tool called "MOV Download Tool" which allows users to easily download the HD trailers from the Apple and Yahoo sites.
Using the QuickTime framework in DirectShow is still possible using for example a filter from MediaLooks.com. However, since most MOV files can be played with regular DirectShow filters (like ffdshow), there is not much point in using the inefficient QT framework.
