Earth is under siege by the Strogg, a barbaric alien race moving through the universe consuming, recycling and annihilating any civilization in their path. In a desperate attempt to survive, an armada of Earth’s finest warriors is sent to take the battle to the Strogg home planet.

You are Matthew Kane, an elite member of Rhino Squad and Earth's valiant invasion force. Fight alone, with your squad, or in hover tanks and mechanized walkers as you engage in a heroic mission to the heart of the Strogg war machine. Battle through the beginning of the game as a combat marine, then after your capture, as a marine-turned-Strogg with enhanced abilities and the power to turn the tide of the war.

This piece of sh*t of game ruined the crap out of the Quake franchise, it's the most stupid, repetitive, linear, back-and-forth-all-of-the-time game i've ever PLAYED. YES, i've played and FINISHED it.

It is SO bad that patches have corrected ridiculous errors and added essenstial stuff & features up to this days, and shame still pushes developers to complete the game.

Shame on Raven & id software. Duh, and Carmack is such a videogame's personality...

P4 3.2 here, 2GB ram, 256MB GeForce 6800. Loads in about 10 seconds per level. This is not bad at all. The user below needs to upgrade his video card because the GeForce 4 is over 5 years old. I am surprised you can even play Quake 4 on that old thing ;-)

Game is awesome, gameplay is awesome. They actually put flashlights on the weapons (something the future people in doom have yet to discover). Great game. 5/5

    But how are load times? it's horrible here with a p4 2.7 1gb ram, geforce 4 ti 4200 128mb, 250gb ata 133 hd.
sure i could use a new vcard, possibly an sata 300 card with sata 300 hd lol.
actual game play isn't bad, at 1024x768, and everything else set to medium graphic settings.
just the loading the game, and each level is the killer.

Well to the guy with the 256mb of ram, god bless you. The resolution you play at must be small. I have a P4 2.53 with 1024mb ram and X800XT and it finally plays great. But i had to upgrade from 512mb ram and a 9700pro to do it. It was barely playable at 1024x768. And i couldn't have all the eye candy on. Now i have ALL the eyecandy on.
