Kindly disregard DB's ridiculous, highly speculative, & conspiracist rant which disregards the facts and considerable past history: This app for years has had a free & Lite version alongside a paid version... there is just no need to someday 'all of a sudden' kill the Lite version.

A good program especially considering it is free. Contains many of the features of full QuickBooks without the considerable bloat. The limit of customers and vendors is understandable to encourage the user to purchase, but is ample enough for many small businesses. Also consider evaluating Microsoft Office Accounting Express.

Why is it free? Quickbooks has never been free and will never be free. Quickbooks is a business and needs to generate revenue. Providing the freeware will not increase their revenue. There is likely to be a catch, perhaps a built in time out that is not disclosed, like some "so called" free ware. Then after you have spent days, weeks, months building the database and using this freeware habitually, it will time out unexpectedly and without warning, thus forcing you to make a decision to buy or fry and cry. Its an old trick of the business.....!

Been using this program for 2 years to teach quickbooks to new business owners. It's a lot easier then Peachtree.
