The Vista Codec Package will no longer include any QuickTime components. The Vista Codec Package is fully capable of MOV and 3GP playback without any QuickTime software installed. This release of QuickTime Lite for VCP uses the original MSI installer from Apple to install a 'lite' version of QuickTime which will provide full browser support for viewing and download quicktime MOV files. It installs a single shortcut to the VistaCodecs\32Bit Tools directory. It does not install the Player, Image Viewer or Java components which are part of a full QuickTime installation. This release will obsolete any other QuickTime Alternative or Lite releases.

Great program!
note to tscar13:
You need to go to school! The web is useless without Flash or Quicktime
Vista and XP and ALL OS's do not come with Flash or Quicktime they are separate downloads....

it does a good job of updating my older quicktime files and replacing them with new ones that are more compatible for my browser, all this without the bloatware that previously came with other quicktime installers. Clean and lean just the way i like it.

This is great! Only thing that would give this a 5 would be if it would give you on option before uninstalling any other type of quicktime you have installed. It just does it all automatically.
