Awesome review tscar ! More to come ? lol
Edit : QT Alternative/Lite is a codec bundled (or not) with a free player that no one forces you to install, not a player. It enables you to play QT content without the need to use the crappy QT player. That's the point of this package.
So yeah, I rate this 5 because I can now watch HQ trailers without the need to download and install the real QT.
That doesn't mean I like QT, I just like the concept of being able to use that sometimes useful codec without installing the full garbage.

"use player of your choice"? Unless you are using a Mac, you have always been able to use the player of your choice and many players out there aren't resource hogs.
To shroom- Since that gave you a chuckle (maybe sarcastic) here's another. All these people that rate this high will rate the next free player high too. They're like little robots being told what to say. If it's free..it's great. Also, it depends on how many are dumb enough to d/l this:) The more the better. For example, you might make a nice target. In theory of course.
To your edit-
still based on Quicktime core programming code that's my point player or no player. Since I can assume you have d/led it, now I have work to do:)
