I've found a small bug which is this: If I choose to add a file to an existing CAB and the source drive (in this case a floppy disk) is write protected then I lose the entire contents of the existing CAB which is replaced with the solitary file which I was attempting to add. Other than this little bug QuickZip works fine.

Very well done. It is not the fastest but it is one of the most versatile of the freebie archivers. Sure there are better shareware archivers available, but This archiver does everything I want it to and more.

It even beats out the capabilities of some of those pay-me shareware archivers i've used.

Highly recommended considering the price.

QuickZip is easy to use and does what is promised. I really like the overall appearance and design layout. Has all the features that one would need from a compression tool.

I've been using 7-Zip, but will probably switch to this one.

I like that it's free and not Shareware/Adware.

Keep up the great work!

Some ppl point, that quickzip is just one more archiver. Yes, thats true. But why the heck you gice it 3 or 2? Does this prog corrupt your archives? Is it pain in the a** to use? Does it freeze your sys everytime u try to pack sth? No! So, if you just want to say, thats "one more bla bla" then say it, but post it with 4 or 5 rating. U ask me why? Because when u give 2 or 3 u degrage overall rating, and ppl will see "oh its probably crappy app, coz it has so low rating"

IMHO the maker has still some things that can make quickzip a better choice that other: it could be faster, more intuitive etc. And tight now - it does what it says.

Looks very promising.. Just one question. How come it's always in the beta stage???

Would be nice to see a finalized release...
