Buyer beware: Free RAM does not equal good RAM. You have memory in your computer to be used... so why would you want it free? Keeping your computer from using all the memory it has, forcing it to use less, can only hurt performance instead of improving it, and that's what tools like this do.
Most of the memory that is "freed" has been used for caching frequently or recently accessed files and folders on disk, or active program memory that is "freed" by sending it to the swap file on disk.
However once this memory is freed, if Windows needs access to the resources that were contained in them, it needs to go to the disk, which is far slower access (that's the reason it was using memory in the first place!). This slows down your programs and other disk access. Any gains noticed are likely a placebo.
