RICOlmer 2.5
Publisher's Description:
RICOlmer is a task reminder/scheduler. It can send e-mails (as remind event), launch programs, documents etc., shutdown/logoff system. With very easy definition of task repetition almost every combination is possible. Can be used as an alarm clock by playing sounds repeatedly. It's small, intuitive, useful, the interface is clear and not too confusing (can reside in system tray). If you use it, you will never forget about your mother-in-law's birthday.

It is a nice reminder software which has got all the functions which I ever wanted from such a software. Its GUI can be improved and was the reason behind why I tried out other pretty looking softwares. But I could not find any other freeware which has all the functions as RICOlmer has and I am now convinced that this good old computer buddy is the best of all the other good looking but less useful ones. The following are my humble suggestions to the author to make this fantastic software still better.
1. To improve GUI
2. It would have been nice if we could print out a calendar like monthly planner from all the added tasks instead of activation reports.
3. It would be more useful if the default time period starts at a fixed time rather than "now + x hrs"

Nice. Agree that the GUI could be improved, but my 4 point instead of 5 relates to the missing provision for reminding on a certain day of the week and a week of the month. Those of us on SS who want to check the deposit of their checks on the 4th Wed of the month have to set it up each time. Same for a few other of the same type of items.

Small, user-friendly and free - one of the top software I have been using for the last year. Strongly recommended. Donate the developer because he uses a free host service for his software.
