Registry Crawler enables system administrators, developers, and other power users to quickly find and configure Registry settings. The software provides a powerful search engine that allows you to find Registry information based on a search criterion. Results are displayed in a list allowing you to access any key found with a single mouse click. It has built in support for 'bookmarks'. You can bookmark any key in the Registry and then access it directly from the system tray. This powerful feature allows you to create a set of Registry keys that you access frequently, eliminating the need to manually open REGEDIT. It uses the REGEDIT tool so you don’t need to learn how to edit, delete or rename registry keys. It also has built in support for Registry editing, multiple key deletions.
Yes - 30 day timeout
- Export multiple keys to one .REG file. Previous versions were limited to exporting only one key at a time

- New feature allows you to export all your registry bookmarks for easy transfer from one computer to another
- New Windows XP look
- The 'Computers' dialog now supports multiple selection. Allows you to easily remove multiple computers from the list

Registry Crawler is nice for searching (and optionally, replacing) registry keys and values. However, I find it inconvenient to deal with two separate windows (Regedit and Registry Crawler), and Registry Crawler lacks any manner of advanced functionality.
So, I agree with the other reviewer who recommended Registry Workshop instead. The choice is simple: Pay $30 for Registry Workshop, and get more, or pay a ridculous $40 for Registry Crawler, and get much less. (You'd even be better off spending $45 on Resplendent Registrar.)
Registry Crawler is good at what it does. I rate it poorly because (A) It doesn't do much; (B) It is somewhat inconvenient in practice, and (C) Because it is seriously overpriced.

RC is very fast on searching when compared with Windows RegEdit. Unfortunately it lacks speed and advanced features found in another excellent tool, Registry Workshop. Search for that one in FileForum.

Now this is one powerful program. The searh engine is awesome!! Try uninstalling a program, then do a search in regcrawler for any keys for that program. Or better yet
try cleaning the registry after you uninstall with regcleaner or Nortons Windoctor, then do a search. I am amazed. :) Good job
