Restorator is a tool to work with windows resources of applications and application components (PE files). It allows modifying, adding, and removing resources such as text, images, icons, sounds, videos, dialogs and menus in almost all applications. nice features, especially the ability to add resources, i don't think i have seen an application that does that. however, the design is not so attractive and the price is too high.
Reviewing 3.00 Build 1129 (Jan 14, 2004)
New version (3) is better than previous one, but still has limited functionality and stability. Xippon is just my opinion and i do know very well this kind of programs as i work every day with VS2k3 resource center, Restorator, Reshacker and the rest. Unfortunately still not found something comparable to old Borland workshop, or WRT or VS.

I have tried Restorator and was a little sceptical first. I must say it is really running better than all the alternatives and you can really do a lot with this. Florian thanks also for the new version, glad you keep working on it.

ssb: You totaly lost your mind. I bet, you not even try to use it or desn't understand this app. I use restorator (from 2.x) version and must say that it is very good and usefull program. One bad thing that it's shareware. There are some freeware (ResBuilder, ResHacker etc). But Restorator has more functions, like building patch.
Reviewing 2.50 Build 757 (Jul 2, 2003)
I cannot understand why nobody can develop a usefull resource editing Windows application. Most of those available, are just garbage and Restorator is no exception.
Limited features buggy and totally unstable.
