SVC2kXP 2.2
Publisher's Description:
Services are programs starting up during OS boot without any interactive or login procedure by a user. They provide functions which may be used by other programs. I.e. a stand alone PC doesn't need network services, so SVC2kXP helps to deactivate them.
Latest Changes:
- Better Windows XP SP2 compatibility
- Modified designed GUI
- More functions (i.e. fingerprinting)
- More security

I use the guide from here:
http://www.tweakhound.co...tweaks/supertweaks1.htm
all this did was to take all the things I disabled & put them in manual. Practically worthless as it really doesn't explain squat in english, only in german. For a standard one user desktop pc I guess manual is just ok. But, in actuality, MS should have only had ANY service turne on when they are called for AND given simple option for auto if necessary, as most of them are entirely superfluous to a regular user with no 'network'.
