NetVeda Safety.Net is an application firewall that offers inbound and outbound protection, as well as filtering, parental controls and email safety to protect you from hackers, worms, trojans and intruders. It uses multi layer deep packet stateful inspection and enables you to configure which applications and components are trusted to access the network or Internet. In addition, some advanced firewall settings enable you to customize rules for enhanced security. The firewall features are basic, but application control and content filtering features let you restrict access to web sites, remove content from emails and browser requests, disarm email attachments and more. In addition, NetVeda Safety.Net offers reports about application and network activity and allows you to apply rules to networked computers that use your machine as an Internet gateway.

Netveda Safety.NET IS free to for non-commercial, private use. There was a bug that made it *seem like* Safety.Net needed to be paid for. This latest version has fixed that bug.
Changes made by latest version...

- Traffic Recording by Application programs and Network services (protocol/ports)
- Traffic Rate Control to set the asymmetric transfer rates for Applications
Bug fixes since 3.6 release include,

This is an excellent firewall! Free. Very light on resources.

I am very impressed with this program . Passed all
tests on Shields Up. Easy to configure Emule for full access.
After 6 weeks , not one hint of a request for payment , definitely free.
Not that I would want to , but to uninstall ,simply go to Add/Remove Programs and Voila there it is !!
I have tried them all and this , IMO ,is the best , for novices or experienced users.

This is NOT freeware. When I run the program it tells me I must purchase a licence which sells for $39 and will not let me run it unless I pay them - http://www.netveda.com/p...ase/?product=Safety.Net
And there is No uninstaller. What CRAP!!!
