Search And Replace allows you to find text in files and replace with a string of your choice. Just enter the file extensions that you want and drag-n-drop (or type) the directory that you would like to search. You also have the possibility to search subdirectories. Search And Replace is completely free.
Reviewing 220.127.116.11 (Feb 18, 2005)
Cool little utility! I like the bit of humor on the author's page, too.
A couple nitpicks: It asked if I wanted to automatically check for updates once per month when first launched. I said no, but it left the setting enabled anyway (under the Tools menu). I also think it could use a Browse button, rather than requiring you to manually enter the path to be searched. It would also be nice if it could do things like DOS-to-Unix conversions. (If it can, I don't know how...)
